Llewellyn, most recently of Fairfax, Virginia, was the former high school band director at Camp Hill High School and Springfield Township High School in Montgomery County, his social media profiles show.

"It is with a heavy heart to break this news to you on Facebook — I thought you needed to know. Rees Llewellyn passed away yesterday," his former Camp Hill co-director Barbara Kauffman wrote in a group for band alumni.

"I will never forget him," wrote one former student. "I never enjoyed the band until he was our band director."

"Mr. Llewellyn was a great band director," said another. "He will be missed by so many!"

Llewellyn attended Berwick Area Senior High School in Columbia County before continuing his studies at Temple University and Dickinson College, according to his Facebook page.
